Description
Anal swab & test tubes containing preservation solution
The study found that these patients were positive not only in the nose and oropharyngeal swabs but also in the anal swabs, which proved the possibility of COVID-19 spreading through the fecal mouth.
Anal swab sampling kits;
Improve the detection rate of infected persons and reduce missed diagnosis;
It is more stable and sensitive than upper respiratory tract specimens;
Anal swab nucleic acid detection is feasible in isolation point operation;
Precautions for anal swab collection;
The sampling swab shall be soaked with sterile normal saline, inserted into the anus 3cm ~ 5cm, rotated for one circle, and then take out the qualified anal swab, which should have visible fecal residue or fecal color.
After sampling, the anal swab should be put into the preservation solution or inserted into the transport medium (which can be stored for 72 hours).
When the cause of disease is unknown, the feces of each case shall be divided into three parts, three anal swabs shall be collected, and the feces shall be preserved according to the inspection requirements of bacteria, virus boxes and parasites.
Sample requirements: the collected samples must be fresh and sent for inspection in time.
The collected pathogenic bacteria should be sent to the laboratory within 48 hours under 2-8 ℃.
If they cannot be sent to the laboratory within 48 hours, they should be stored at – 70 ℃ or below.
The pathogen samples shall be inoculated and separated as soon as possible after being sent to the laboratory.
After inoculation and separation within 48 hours, they can be stored at 2-8 ℃. If the inoculation is not carried out in time, the isolation shall be stored at – 70 ℃ or C.
