Description
What is a Nasopharyngeal(NP) Swab?
Nasopharynx swab is a detection method. It is mainly used to determine our treatment plan and diagnosis when we suspect that there is a special bacterial group infection or virus infection in the nasopharynx. When we use a sterile pharyngeal swab through the nasal cavity, into the nasopharynx or oral cavity, into the throat, wipe the mucous membrane, carry out bacterial culture, virus culture and drug sensitivity test. This examination is a non-invasive examination.
Material
It is suitable for the collection and post-separation of viruses such as influenza, avian influenza, hand, foot and mouth disease, Covid-19 and measles.
it is also Suitable for collecting and transporting viruses such as Chlamydia, Mycoplasma and Ureaplasma urealyticum specimens.
Specimens collected from the mouth, throat, nasopharynx, anus, etc.
Nasal swab virus sampling kits
1. Virus sampling centrifuge tube, 1:
Size Φ16×100mm, capacity 10ml. The tube body and cover are made of polypropylene, which will not deform after high temperature and high pressure (121°C, 15min), and will not embrittle at low temperature (-196°C).
It can withstand static extrusion and dynamic shock. The conical bottom is designed to withstand centrifugation and shaking. Leakproof.
2. Virus transport medium, 3.5ml:
Based on extensive testing of alkaline liquids, buffers, protein stabilizers, cryoprotectants, amino acids on cells, we have concluded the most suitable formulations for virus storage. It can maintain the high efficiency of virus storage and greatly improve the positive rate of virus culture.
3. Sampling flocking swab, 1pc:
Flocked nylon swab, non-toxic to cells and viruses. RNAse free. It maximizes specimen collection and release, which ensures a positive PCR test result. No debris when breaking stickers.
