Intended Use

This vtm kit is used for the preservation of tissues and cytopathological samples.

Virus Sampling Tube Principle

The main components of the preservation solution are guanidine salt, surfactant, buffer etc. This kit could
inactivate the pathogens such as virus and bacteria in the samples, inhibit the activity of nuclease and stabilize the
DNA/RNA in pathogens and human cells. Keeping the nose swabs, throat swabs and sputum swabs in the
preservation solution benefits the subsequent nucleic acid analysis.

Main Components
Guanidinium isothiocyanate, sodium N-lauroyl sarcosine, sodium acetate trihydrate, acetic acid, water, etc.

Expiration: 2 years
Storage condition: room temperature

Usage method

1 Before sample collection, label the tube.
2 According to the sample collection requirements of different positions, harvest samples in the corresponding
position with disposal swabs.
3 Put the swab into the tube immediately after harvesting the sample.
4 Break the part of the disposal swab above the sample tube and cover or tighten the tube.
5 Store and transmit the sample tubes containing swabs as required. In general, the samples should be transported
at least at 0-8℃ if the transportation cannot be guaranteed at –(20±5)℃. Samples should be tested as soon as

possible, when the samples can not be detected in 24 hours, keep them at –(20±5) ℃. Keep the samples at -70℃
for long time storage.

Virus Sampling Tube Precaution

1 The person who uses the kit should be trained and wear a mask, gloves and other relevant protective equipment.
2 Don’t touch the head of the swab with hands or other items when using the swab.
3 The product is the disposal of, don’t reuse it.
4 Don’t use the product when its package is broken.
5 Don’t use the product when it expires
